Dr. Eileen DiFrancesco graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania where she received her Bachelor’s Degree. After earning a medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine, she received additional training in both Psychiatry and Neurology.

Upon completing  residency training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City she was appointed Medical Director of the Learning Laboratory, a private facility in Connecticut. There she specialized in diagnosing and treating Attention Deficit Disorder, Addiction, Depression and Bipolar Disorder, using Quantitative EEG also known as Brain Mapping.

 

Her diagnostic skills were also utilized at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine where she assessed psychotic adolescents for Schizophrenia treatment and eligibility for research protocols.

She is board certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Dr. DiFrancesco was in the first class of Psychiatrists required to complete certification every 10 years in order to keep up with the growing body of clinical and Neuroscience advances. She was Board Certified in 1997, 2007 and again in 2017.

Her diverse background and experience allow her to specialize in diagnostic and medication assessment. She is able to provide initial and ongoing care for Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar, Obsessive Compulsive, Sleep, Eating and Addictive Disorders. Dr. DiFrancesco uses both traditional and integrative approaches is to treating her patients. She is currently in private practice on the upper East Side of Manhattan.

Dr. DiFrancesco offers consultative services for which she provides a complete analysis of the patient’s brain health to help minimize the effects of both genetic and environmental and this mental illness.

Throughout her career Dr. DiFrancesco has remained active in her community and has received numerous awards and accolades for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the profession.
